LifeWorks Mental Health Counseling is your top resource to help you create more Integrated and Cohesive relationships. We practice Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you and your loved one(s) through this difficult time. If your relationship is suffering, you need a relationship specialist. You need a highly trained professional who uses proven treatment methods to help you efficiently turn your relationship around. Traditional talk therapy for relationship distress is only successful 25-30% of the time. But with this top-notch, relationship-specific approach, 75% of relationships find that their broken bonds are HEALED after they complete treatment. This means that together, they repaired their connection and created a more fulfilling relationship. And 90% of the recipients report that their relationship has significantly improved. With EFT, there is hope! You wouldn't go to the dentist for a cardiology exam. So, don't go to a general therapist to save your relationship. LifeWorks is the only practice on the South Shore that has clinicians with extensive and advanced training in this highly successful, evidence based model.
What is EFT?
EFT is a short-term, organized approach to couples and family therapy. It was developed in the 1980’s by Dr. Sue Johnson and is rooted in the science of adult attachment. EFT helps us understand what is happening in a couple's or family relationship that isn't working and why. EFT quickly identifies where you might be stuck and why. Once there is a clear image of the negative cycle happening, EFT teaches you how to replace it with something more positive....something that actually feels right for you. EFT helps each person in the relationship dig deep to find new ways of solving old problems. Remember that conflict is growth trying to happen! But each of you have been trying in ways that haven't worked, yet. Our relationship counseling promotes opportunities for personal insight, exchanges of empathy, as well as, dynamic and effective communication between you and your loved one. With access to the right resources, everyone becomes empowered by their own abilities and gains the confidence needed to fulfill their potential. Change really is possible! LifeWorks Mental Health Counseling specializes in healing relationships and helping you break out of old and unhealthy patterns! Call today for a free consultation.
